UNIT 6 - I really had a great time

Writing a story together!

First, WATCH this video to practice the Simple past!

Now, I am going to write the first sentence of OUR story. The next person to comment is going to is going to write a second sentence, continuing the previous one. Then , the next person will write the third sentence, and so on until ALL students contribute with a sentence!

Of course the last student to write should end the story!

We will read the story the next day in class!

So be creative and organize well the ideas!

UNIT 5 - Did he call her again today?

Tell me about an interesting event in the past!

First, WATCH this video before starting to write!

Now, write about something funny, sad, or terrifying that happened to you in the past and about what you did during the last week! Don't forget to use past time expression (yesterday, last week, a year ago, etc)!

Example: 

I will never forget my vacation in Atacames. My family and I went to Atacames to weeks ago. We enjoyed delicious food and we swam all the day. However, when we went to the market, I got lost! I couldn't find either my mother or sister! I was too scared. Almost 2 hours passed away, when I got to a restaurant. There I saw my mother and sister having lunch. So, I realized that they even noticed that I wasn't there! :(

This is my house. My sister is talking on the phone with her best friend Karlin in her bedroom. My grandmother is watching TV in the living room. Luckily, my mother is already cooking lunch in the kitchen!

UNIT 3 - Miami - A great place to visit!

Where is the drugstore?

Downtown there are many places to visit! There is a Supermatket,a Mall, a big school, and so on. There aren't any police stations. However, I need to find the drugstore. So, I am now on the bus stop on Main street in front of the Mall. I must turn right and walk along the Zoo. The zoo is net to th post office. Then I cross the Third avenue, where the bookstore is. Next to it, ther is the Drugstore. Now I can buy everything I need!

Instruction: 1. Think of a place you enjoy visiting in Ambato.

                     2. Describe how to get there using the propositions of location.

UNIT 2 - I always get up at six - thirty

My Daily Routine

Every morning, I wake up at 6.30 to prepare myself for my work. First, I do 30 minutes of exercises. Remember that that keeps us fit and healthy. Then I brush my teeth to have a white smile. After that, I take a shower because I sweated after doing exercises. Next, I eat breakfas. I usually eat bread with tea or coffee, and I enjoy having a fruit, specially an orange. Finally, I go to work until 5 pm. So, my tired day is over!

UNIT 1 - Can you count?

My familiy favorite activities 

When I was a little chid, I always wanted to swim like a dolphin. Now, I can swim pretty well. In the afternoon during 3 o'clock, I like to play with my pets outside. I can run around the house or I can play with the ball  with them. My sister and I can swim, so we like to go twice a month to the swimming-pool where we can practice. My mother love plants and flowers so she can be the whole day outside in the garden. On the other hand, my father can't fix a car but he loves working on it. Most of the times he makes it worst! However, we love being together and enjoy the things we can do!

Instruction: Write about your abilities and your family's ability (or your friend's abilities) using the verb Can / Can't in the correct form.
